Slab Altar
In development (working title)
A new work unfolding around a slab of concrete as a site of ritual, labour, destruction and transformation. Performers work directly with the slab through a sequence of physical actions, using tools including a jackhammer, which gradually take the form of a dismantled liturgy. The work approaches the theatre itself as a place and instrument of witnessing, composing the conditions through which events are seen, heard and shared, and turning the act of watching into part of the work itself.
Format: performance / concert / visual installation
Status: in development
Premiere: planned in 2028
Partners: Holland Festival, Het Muziek, with additional partners to be announced

Nightwater
Available for presentation
A large-scale spatial work built around an agricultural irrigation machine, live musicians, amplified sound, electronics, video and light. The machine functions not only as an object within the space but as an organising presence: its movement, sound and rhythm structure the relation between performers, architecture and audience.
Rural culture enters an urban cultural institution and both are transformed through the encounter. Folk musicians and contemporary instrumentalists perform within an environment shaped by horn speakers, field recordings, mechanical systems and shifting visual conditions, creating a hybrid, dream-like experience in which different worlds merge and penetrate one another.
The work enters into dialogue with the venue itself, using its architecture as part of the composition, while the audience is free to move through the space, choose different perspectives and shape its own relation to what unfolds. Originally created for the building of the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, Nightwater can be reconfigured for different spaces and scales.
Format: immersive performance / concert / installation
Duration: Condensed version 90 minutes / Expanded version 120 minutes or longer
Premiere: Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, Amsterdam, 2025
Partners: Muziekgebouw Productiehuis, I/O, Ensemble Klang, Onassis Stegi

ENA ENA
Available for presentation
An immersive performance that reconstructs the social logic of an imaginary Greek “klarina” nightclub. A live band occupies its own playing area, while a singer moves between the central performance space and the audience, who are seated at tables within the set.
Developed from research into rural Greek feasts and the indoor nightclubs that emerged around them, the work brings musicians from the European improv scene into contact with Greek folk and electronic music, alongside field recordings and amplified sound. The audience becomes part of the fictional nightclub simply by being present: the performance can emerge from different parts of the room, and drinks are served at the tables during the performance.
Format: immersive performance / concert / installation
Duration: 75 minutes, can be repeated twice per day
Premiere: Gaudeamus Festival, Utrecht, 2021
Performances: x19 across Gaudeamus Festival, Onassis Stegi, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Korzo Den Haag and Nicosia International Festival, 2021–23
Partners: Gaudeamus, Onassis Stegi, I/O
